Following permission being kindly given by the actor’s family for the interview to be available, transfer from video to digital disc has now been made. The DVD features the two Prisoner-based personal films made by McGoohan and never screened or before available, amounting to nearly an hour with added titles, plus PDF transcript of the interview. The shorter film was shot at a local beach, with a hunt for mystery items. Quality reflects transfer from 33 year old copy video, but the rarity of the content makes for a unique presentation. 1966 PRISONER FILMING CD ‘DVD’ - 17 minutes of never broadcast colour footage of The Prisoner, taken at the time the film crew was in Portmeirion in 1966. BONUS - the visual ‘movie’ disc includes 3 minutes of never before seen footage. The disc plays like a DVD as a ‘movie’ CD in domestic computer drives and has its own self-executing player. It may also play in some home DVD players, or computer DVD drives. Relive the atmosphere of Portmeirion being turned into ‘The Village’. Costumes, characters, actors (including Patrick McGoohan) and crew are on view.  Shot during location filming by amateur camera users who were visiting Portmeirion.

The 2003 and 2005 Six of One Conventions in Portmeirion were enhanced by having ‘Prisoner’ actor guests participating in live events, for the first time. The sadly departed Alexis Kanner and Mike Billington provided some memorable moments, with the 2005 ‘Do Not Forestall Me Or Try Meddling’ comedy sketch now presented on this DVD, starring Mike Billington in his final role. Six of One has been fortunate to host and capture on film past events with actors and crew, many no longer with us. There are 12 ‘movies’ in all, with as much content fitted onto the 4.7 gb of a DVD as can be managed, using best available quality.
